Xiaolin Zhang (张晓琳), Co-Founder & Managing Partner: (45) Ms. Zhang co-founded Shoreline Capital in 2004 and manages the company’s operations and investment projects. She has built and led an in-house team of Chinese distressed debt and special situation investment specialists, working with whom she formulates the company’s investment strategies and manages the entire process of investment from sourcing, analysis, negotiation, restructuring and liquidation related to acquiring and disposing distressed assets. Since 2015, Ms. Zhang has been elected Chairman of China Non-Performing Loan (‘NPL’) Industry Alliance, whose members include thousands of major players in this field, such as local banks, Asset Management Companies(‘AMC’), law firms, etc. Prior to Shoreline, she started a real-estate development company which has invested and developed five real estate projects in China. Over the 19-year course of her entirely China-based career, among which includes 12 years in distressed debts, she has created a deep local network and helped develop the platform of successful investments in Chinese distressed debt and special situations. Ms. Zhang holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
